Trick-or-Treat Trail
Trick-or-treating is even more magical in Story Book Forest! Take a tasty trip through the beloved storybook scenes as you collect treats from favorite characters including The Old Woman Who Lived in the Shoe, Little Red Riding Hood, Mother Goose, Snow White and more. With surprises waiting throughout the Forest, it’s one of Pennsylvania’s longest and most unique trick-or-treat trails—and an Idlewild HallowBOO! tradition families won’t want to miss.
The entrance to the Trick-or-treat trail and Story Book Forest closes at 5:30 p.m.
Mystic Wilds Jungle Maze

This HallowBOO!, two Idlewild favorites take on a festive new twist!
Climb aboard The Legend of Lady Loyalhanna for a journey through the enchanted woodlands along the Loyalhanna Creek. Along the way, discover glowing pumpkins, whimsical woodland creatures, mysterious candy corn and the legend of Lady Loyalhanna and Fisherman Frank.
Then, step inside Fisherman Frank’s Crooked Cabin, where things aren’t quite as they seem! Explore Frank’s topsy-turvy home filled with curious illusions, surprising sights and plenty of crooked, family-friendly fun.

Dance, play and get ready for a blast of HallowBOO! fun! Join us for a high-energy Foam Party filled with music, dancing and mountains of fluffy foam.
When fall temperatures get a little too chilly for foam, the fun keeps going with a Bubble Blast Dance Party, featuring music, dancing and bubbles galore—with a little less splash!
Foam Party or Bubble Blast will be offered based on weather and temperature conditions.
Grigsby's Trunk of Giggles
Hootin' Holler: 1:00 & 4:00 PM
Meet Grigsby, a quirky blue, hairy monster who dwells inside a peculiar wooden trunk! With his squeaky voice and mysterious language, you may not understand everything Grigsby has to say—but that’s all part of the fun. Stop by for a silly, surprising and slightly peculiar HallowBOO! encounter that’s sure to leave the whole family giggling.

Step into the Laser Swamp, where glowing beams of light transform the path into a mysterious HallowBOO! adventure! Make your way through the colorful laser-filled atmosphere and enjoy a fun, immersive experience that adds just the right touch of Halloween mystery—without the scares.
BOO Cruise
Saturday, September 26
11:00 AM–3:00 PM
Cruise into HallowBOO! Antique and classic car owners are invited to show off their wheels during Idlewild’s BOO Cruise on Saturday, September 26.
Participating vehicles will be displayed in the Lower A Parking Lot from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM. The driver and one passenger will receive FREE admission to Idlewild, while additional passengers may purchase discounted admission online.
Vehicles should arrive between 10:45 AM and 12:00 PM to be placed on display and must remain until 3:00 PM to receive a commemorative BOO Cruise Dash Plaque. Participants are welcome to stay and enjoy HallowBOO! for the remainder of the operating day until 6:00 PM.
Want to add a little extra fall fun? Participants are welcome to decorate their vehicles for Halloween or the fall season! No advance registration is required.
Kids' Costume Parades
October 17, 18, 24, 25 & 31 | 4:00 PM
Hillside Theater
Calling all little ghosts, goblins, superheroes, princesses and more! Some of the best costumes of the season are coming to HallowBOO!, and your little ones are the stars of the show.
Kids ages 12 and under are invited to participate in our Kids’ Costume Parades on HallowBOO! dates from October 17–31. At 4:00 PM, participants will gather at the Hillside Theater before taking their turn across the stage, where each child’s name and costume will be announced for their moment in the spotlight.

HallowBOO! brings plenty of frightfully delicious flavors to the park! Between trick-or-treating, rides and Halloween fun, treat yourself to some of the tastes that make fall so sweet.

HALLOWBOO! is all about family-friendly Halloween fun—not big scares! The event is designed especially with families and younger children in mind, with trick-or-treating, festive decorations, costumed characters, mazes, seasonal treats and Halloween-themed adventures throughout the park. You may encounter a few silly surprises along the way, but there are no intense scare attractions.
Yes! A trip through the HALLOWBOO! Trick-or-Treat Trail in Story Book Forest is included with park admission. The entire family is welcome to enjoy the walk through the Forest and visit favorite storybook characters along the way, while children ages 12 and under are invited to collect treats at stops throughout the trail. Treat bags are provided while supplies last, or children are welcome to bring their own.
Absolutely! Kids are encouraged to get into the HallowBOO! spirit and wear their favorite Halloween costumes, especially while enjoying the trick-or-treat trail. For everyone’s safety, costumes should be family-friendly and must not interfere with the safe operation of rides and attractions. Some costume pieces or accessories may need to be removed before riding.
HallowBOO! admission is included with 2026 and 2027 Gold and Platinum Season Passes, so those Passholders can enjoy the fall fun throughout the event. If you had a 2026 Bronze or Silver Pass, your pass ended on Labor Day, but you can purchase a 2027 Gold or Platinum Season Pass to enjoy the rest of this season - including HallowBOO! and all of next season. Be sure to check the benefits associated with your specific Season Pass before visiting.
A little fall weather doesn’t have to spoil the fun! HALLOWBOO! continues during periods of light rain, although rides, attractions and entertainment may be temporarily delayed or closed due to weather conditions. Guests should check the forecast before visiting and come prepared for changing fall weather.
