A Message to Our Idlewild & SoakZone Family
May 18, 2026
A Letter from our General Manager Tim Heger
To our valued Passholders, Guests, and Neighbors,
For almost a century and a half, Idlewild & SoakZone has been a place where families come together and create lasting memories. It means a great deal to our team to be included in moments and traditions that are shared across generations.
As we are preparing to kick off the 2026 season, I wanted to take a moment to share just how much care and effort our team has poured into the park this offseason. Every improvement we’ve made, big or small, has been guided by our mission of Bringing Families Closer Together by Creating Memories Worth Repeating®.
This season, you’ll see that commitment come to life in new ways throughout the park. We are excited to introduce Parrot’s Perch, a new dining location in SoakZone. This pirate-themed eatery will serve a variety of family-friendly favorites, including crispy chicken tenders, sandwiches, grilled cheese, soft pretzels, and nachos. In addition, we’ve expanded and enhanced food options across the park with new offerings like barbecue brisket and chicken, as well as both savory and sweet waffles, giving you even more delicious choices to enjoy throughout your day.
During the offseason, our team also completed a full refresh of the Tilt-A-Whirl, giving it a new “wild west” theme, relocating it to the Hootin’ Holler area of the park, and renaming it Tilt-N-Twister. We have also enhanced our cabana experience in SoakZone with new furniture and added cabana-side service to help you relax a little more during your visit. Throughout Olde Idlewild, there have been more than 30 new benches added, creating additional spaces for you to sit, recharge, and spend time together.
Idlewild & SoakZone has always been about more than just rides and slides, it’s about the moments families share. That’s why we’re especially excited to bring you one of our most robust event lineups yet, from new experiences like Spookley’s Summer Celebration to commemorating America’s 250th birthday and extending the family fun with our longest HALLOWBOO! season ever.
Over the past several seasons, I’ve had the privilege of seeing just how special Idlewild & SoakZone is to so many families. It’s where first rides happen, where traditions begin, and where memories are made year after year, and we’re truly honored to play a small part in those experiences.
We can’t wait to welcome you back for another unforgettable season starting Saturday, May 23!

See you at the park,
Tim Heger
